The famous pavement mosaic in Barcelona by Joan Miro.
Concrete; bronze, ceramic tile.
Washington, between Clark and Dearborn.
Joan Miró i Ferrà died at the age of 90 in 1983 so this sculpture is one of his last works. A Catalan-Spanish painter and sculptor, he is most commonly associated with the Surrealists although he tried not to limit himself by formally joining the artists of that group.
