This was created by Charlotte Cornish based on a climate theme.Sea temperatures have increased by 0.2 degrees C to 0.6 degrees C. It doesn´t sound like much but you consider that a 2 degree change in general temperature means a huge change in our lifestyle with the loss of many species and 4 degrees would mean extinction for humans…we need to take notice AND take action.

This is beautiful, a true micromosaic, from the 1880′s Egyptian revival period with the center image of an artfully wrought scarab in brilliant colors against a white ground. Measuring 2″ with the bale x 1 1/8″ wide. The metal is gilt silver, decorated with bits and bobbles in classic Etruscan design. The back has the original beveled crystal and frame and holds a bit of ivory watered silk.
