Meet my dog Jedda. It’s been an eventful day for her. Poor thing developed an aural haematoma [doggy equivalent of an acute cauliflower ear] and ended up having a GA today and her ear is sticthed to a template. My bank balance is looking very sad as a result, even worse than it normally does two days before Pay Day. But hey, this dog was my de facto baby before I started having the human variety, so you do what needs to be done.
So I’m in dog mood at the moment…

Chihuahuas are not really my kind of dog – I like my dogs a tad bigger but these mosaics are interesting.

This one translates as “I don’t dirty the footpath”. I didn’t know that dogs in Geneva, Switzerland could read!

I’ve copied the spiel that accompanies the picture:
“When I first moved to Mexico in 1988 I saw a Mirror in a shop in Mexico City. I was unable to buy it at the time. Years passed and a friend introduced me to Martin. The man I had been looking for since that first day I saw his work. Sometimes it is hard to find someone in the largest City on Earth.
At that time I had a Gallery in San Miguel de Allende and I was able to show Martins work..we also became great friends.
We were friends thru some of the best and worst times.
He made this wonderful huge piece which we had shipped from Mexico,it arrived 2 weeks before the Federal Flood. It sat in Flood Waters for 2 weeks, still wrapped in cardboard and bubble wrap.
Today I got up the nerve to unwrap it and see how bad the damage was. I am happy to report that the damage is minimal and I am now trying to figure out the best way to repair it.
I wish Martin were here..I miss him.
Now he lives in Barcelona and has a studio there.
