FInished! Yippee, I was kinda horrified to find black grout inside the tub, esp. since I thought it was white. It was the last one and I wasn’t going out again, so I took a leap of faith and used it. Problem was it stained the light wood. So I ran out a day later and got a wood stain in a dark color and it camofluaged that problem. Are they perfect? No. Yet I like them still! It took me from last summer’s inlaying objects to this summer to be brave enough to grout the darned thing… Well I tried to photograph without the toilet showing but couldn’t. Most people are taller than I and will have a different view from the mirror…. At least I hope! Let there be light!
I’m so glad the white grout turned out to be black. White grout is one of those things that can be stunning – but more often doesn’t quite do the mosaic justice. Black grout is much more flattering in many cases. Messy though.
