Fairtrade mosaic, originally uploaded by Lees Street.
Given that it is May Day, this seemed like a good mosaic to blog. Fairtrade products are only certified as such if they can demonstrate fair wages and decent working conditions. A decent standard of occupational health and safety standards must be met and there must be no child or slave labour. Often the products are made by small cooperatives from less developed nations. It’s a great cause and the products are well worth a look. Here in Australia, Oxfam is a good source of Fair Trade Products.
The panel itself is located at the Lees Street Congregational Church in Manchester, UK.
