If you come to my house this morning, expect to eat more than your fair share of oliebollen. It’s a Dutch tradition to farewell the old year before welcoming the new.

My parents are Dutch so its a family tradition. I don’t think that too many people in Darwin do it as there are very few Dutch families. I don’t have the time to make all the good Dutch Christmas food but I certainly can do the oliebollen thing!
