A shellwork mosaic enriches a powder room

At first, you feel as though you are standing in the wake of a giant wave, surrounded by scores of splayed shells and bits of sea glass. If you listen carefully, you may even hear the surf softly resonating from the swelling walls.
In reality, the setting is a remarkable powder room, designed to complement a new Dallas home styled like an early 1900s Irish farmhouse. Nestled in the downstairs corner of the home, this grotto like vestibule is a standout accomplishment,both as an ingenious installation and as art.
