I love the effect of a mirror mosaic and this comes from the Street Market of Stockholm.
Beneath the old County Hospital in Dorchester in Dorset is a mosaic dating back to 350 AD.
Dorchester has preserved many archaeological finds from its Roman past when it was called Durnovaria. An excavation, carried out in 2000 and 2001, was the largest archaeological investigation of the town for many years and was carried out by Wessex Archeology.
If you plan to spend some time in the Wessex area in September and archaeology is a potentially exciting way for you to spend 5 days, this organisation runs a Practical Archaeology Training Course annually.
