Having had my nose stuck in this book for the better part of the afternoon, I can definitely say that this book is an ESSENTIAL for the mosaics bookshelf. Loads of wonderful droolworthy photos, fantastic chapters on technique, tools and materials with loads of real life practical tips. I don’t think there would be many questions that couldn’t be answered by this book.
Incredibly comprehensive but it also has plenty of good “coffee table book” photos.
Buy it if you want a book. I can see this one being a bit of a mosaics bible.

And if you live downunder I can recommend Fishpond as a source for this book. Their prices are excellent and there is a lot of free shipping at the moment. Great service. The book took a while to arrive even though I had received an email telling me it had been sent. I contacted them to tell them it hadn’t showed and they promptly organised a replacement book. Of course the parcel then arrived. Word of warning: my book was actually sourced from NZ even though I went through an Australian website. It may take 2-5 days to reach the East Coast of Australia from Auckland [which is the time quoted in the email and on the website] but they haven’t taken into consideration the time to get to Darwin which is usually a week plus if it comes from Sydney. I’ve had mail arrive faster from Florida in the USA [try 5 days!] than from Sydney…
But I digress…buy this book if you want to take your mosaics past the beginner stage – because there is no way I am going to let anyone borrow my copy!
