Saw this pic of this mosaic mural, loved it but then went “Ramon who?”.
Ramon Emeterio Betances is a great figure in the history of Puerto Rico. He fought for the abolition of slavery there [which he did get to see] and fought for the country’s independence.

Ths mosaic can be found somewhere near Trinity College and Beppie K captures this mosaic and other Dublin Art well in her "Public Art, Dublin" photoset.
The way the sky has been done reminds me of Aboriginal art from Central Australia and I really like the bold bright colours. However the lines are much more formal. The face could almost be Maori.

I don't see a cat and a fiddle but this is an incredibly cool cow.
And I like the Southern Cross in the background. Sure giveaway that she comes from downunder.
